Men Who Stare At Goats

Tonight, or, rather, last night, my friend Larissa and I watched Men Who Stare at Goats, a movie about a journalist's journey with Lyn Cassidy, who was once a part of the New Earth Army, a military section based in psychic research. The journalist (EWAN MCGREGOR!!!!!!!) reaches a mid-life (or 30s) crisis where his wife leaves him, and he heads to the Middle East in order to show that he has what it takes as a writer. In Iraq, he runs into Lyn Cassidy, the psychic prodigy of the New Earth Army who has been reactivated and is taking on a new mission, although he has no idea where he's going, or what exactly he's doing. The journalist learns to loosen up and accept life as it comes and to have some fun every once in awhile. I love the comedy in this movie. It's so random and ironic. They are a crazy bunch of people, and I love them for it. I'd highly suggest watching this movie, especially for Jeff Bridges' acting and Kevin Spacey's strange "spirit guide" voice. :D
